I actually bought two Monkey Bar systems on Amazon -- one was this preconfigured 6-pair ski rack, and the other was a "build your own" version consisting of a number of separate purchases of Monkey Bar Storage components. So, I actually ended up with two full-size bars and all the hooks I would need for my family's skis, boots and our (possibly) wet clothes at the end of the day. (Buying the components separately in the "build your own" configuration definitely more expensive, but not absurdly so.)Everything installs super easily (if you know how to find and drill into a stud). Amazingly, Monkey Bar Storage actually includes strong and long screws totally appropriate for super-sturdy mounting of the two support brackets required for each bar. (This is not always a given with products that require mounting. They even include a couple of extra screws, presumably in case you lose one or strip the head.) The finish on the bars and the various hook components is very nice and everything is super strong and works great. (All hooks are coated in about 1/16" inch of rubber.) Some reviewers have commented that it is best to secure each hook that supports skis using a tie wrap, so the hook doesn't lift off when you lift the skis. This is true, but easy and not a problem. In fact, the same thing that makes the hooks lift off so easily also makes them very easy to relocate into a totally custom configuration on the bar. (They are fully secure when supporting weight. It is only when you apply upward pressure that they can come loose.)I will end up needing to shorten one of my two main support bars by a few inches and, if I have any unreasonable trouble, I will update this sentence. If you are a family of skiers, or if you live in the mountains and have a lot of skis like we do, these are perfect. We had to buy two of them as both my wife and I had enough skis to fill one for each of us. They went up easily, although I had to build them out from the wall to account for a pipe running along the wall I was using. They support the skis quite well, even twin tips. And wide floaters for deep powder days. When you hang them, just make sure that you use your tallest skis as the benchmark for high you need to mount the Monkey Bars.Great solution to having equipment laying all over.Assembly is straight forward and thorough.Very robust design.Used mine for display of a few old pairs that deserve recognition. There was a "concern" in an earlier feedback in regards to the hangers coming off the cross bar when you take skis down.I put a zip tip around each bracket. They still move side to side but can't come off!Great ski rack, simple, easy to put up on the garage wall, doesn't take up a lot of space. It works, and well priced.Great contemporary look and holds up to 6 pairs of skis with plenty of space in between. Only negative is the distance between the prongs is a little too wide allowing ski tips to go lower and making the removal a bit tough to disengage. Still like the system however.Love this rack! Product shipment box arrived damaged and with a missing part.. Called these guys and they sent out the missing part along with a hook which worked awesome for my poles!!-SO NICE! This product is extremely durable and simple to install! Simply measure, pre drill your holes in studs with adjustable mounting brackets, mount, adjust your hooks and enjoy this great looking rack! Keeps my skis out of the way and organized! I love the fact that when I called these guys they were so easy to work with and stand behind their products! I would highly recommend the product and this company! Buy this rack and you won't be disappointed! Check out my awesome rack! Love it!I ordered a second one after installing the first one so I certainly like this ski rack. 4/5 stars because when you lift the skis from the "forks" the "forks" lift too. They don't fall off the bar but it is awkward when you are lifting skis from the rack. I put cable ties around each "fork" to keep them from lifting up with the skis. This quick fix works well. My two units came with five ski hangers (forks) each.Very sturdy and works well. I dinged it one star because one of the four forks would not "snap on lightly", as the instructions say (I would have said "snap on firmly"). I was able to widen the mounting bracket by "persuading it" with a hammer and got it to snap on. Another reviewer commented that the forks would lift when skis are removed. I have not experienced that.Collected the ski storage system in the morning, my husband fitted it resulting in skis stored beautifully in my garage in less than an hour! Simple, well made, ingenious system - love it!Easy to install, looks good. Once installed the hooks clip on simply, they're sturdy and slide easily back and forth on the bar for best placement. We like the product, but it could fit a lot more ski holders on the rack. We have emailed the company at least 4 times and they haven't responded, so that's unfortunate. I was just about to order a second rack when I found the same product sold by Home Depot for $80 cheaper. Yikes, I almost got ripped off twice.
